As an aspiring writer, I want people to be able to read some of the material that I have written so far. In today's world, this isn't necessarily an easy thing to do. Up until this point, I haven't really shared any of my writing unless it is with close friends. In the digital age, anyone can take your work and claim that it is their own if you don't have a copyright. Nevertheless, there are ways around this, and I am going to use this blog to implement them.
The most obvious solution, and one that I hadn't really thought of before, is fan fiction. These stories would never be publishable anyway, and it will allow readers to get a glimpse of my writing style. From time to time, I may also publish excerpts from stories that I've written, or perhaps even micro-portions of the novel that I am currently writing (although I haven't decided on this yet).
I don't think that authors spend enough time with their readers. This blog is my first attempt at reconciling this discrepancy -- and I hope that you will enjoy reading what you find here. Feel free to leave comments and suggestions. I don't like to be overly verbose when the situation doesn't warrant it, so that's about it.
Enjoy the blog.
